homemade almond milk


I am a beverage girl, always thirsty and easily bored. That means at any given moment, I typically have 1-2 beverages within arms reach. One is usually water, gently flavored with some fresh mint leaves, cucumber, lemon, grapefruit, cinnamon stick, fresh ginger or any other flavor I’m craving. Living in Southern California has taught me nothing if not the importance of staying hydrated. If it’s in the morning, the other will often be a coffee beverage, probably iced — a perfect balance of cold-brew and almond milk and honey. If it’s in the afternoon, the other will be my favorite smoothie of the moment or my current iced tea rotation — I keep a pitcher of iced tea in my fridge at all times and rotate through whatever tea bags I have in abundance. Is it’s in the evening, the other will be a cocktail — most likely starting with a homemade syrup blended with a really good bourbon or tequila and topped off with sparkling water.
